PLS Projects

Hi everyone! I have some Pretty Little Studio projects to share. This first one is a star shaped album that I created after our recent road trip. I'm only loading one picture here, but if you want to take a closer look at the album and see the tutorial I created, click here.
I adore PLS's Monsieur collection. The papers were perfect for this album. This next project is up on the PLS blog today (Oct. 24).
I had so much fun with this project. I used the Neapolitan line, which just screams happiness. The colors are gorgeous and perfect for happy pictures. Thanks for stopping by! :)

New PLS Layouts

Hi everyone! I just realized that I forgot to post my last layout that went up on the PLS blog a week or so ago. That's what I get for being way too busy! Here it is:

I absolutely love the  Neapolitan line. The colors are just gorgeous and the patterns are so fun. Here is my latest page, made using the Sandcastle line:

I was instantly excited when I saw this sketch. I love the look of the circles behind the photo. I had been drooling over the Sandcastle collection for a while, and decided this sketch was perfect. My problem was that I knew my son would revolt if I used that much pink on one of his pages, so I borrowed my friend's granddaughter. This little girl is a mess! She is hilariously funny and sassy, and the Sandcastle papers worked perfectly with this sweet picture of her. I did some splatters with pink and yellow spray inks and traced the bottom of a pop can for the circles in the background. Weird, I know. But it was handy, and it worked.

I made the paper curls by cutting strips of the patterned paper and gluing together to make them double sided. Then I just curled them up and glued them in place. I added tons of little hexagons and butterflies, along with a few blingy rhinestones. The bingo card and star tag were perfect for layering beside the photo. I finished things off with the quote from Shakespeare, which fits the little lady to a T.

Thanks for stopping by! :)
P.S. Did you know that PLS has a new Christmas collection? It is called Woodland Christmas and is simply gorgeous. The colors are to die for and the little critters are just too cute for words! You can get a sneak peek by clicking the logo below:

New Coptic Stitched Journal and a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Hi everyone! Thanks for your sweet comments on my last post. I am so enjoying being part of the PLS design team! I have a new project up on the Pretty Little Studio blog today and I wanted to share it here as well. I created a coptic stitched journal with the Apple Cider Collection.
I know I've talked about coptic stitching before on this blog, but I cannot tell you how much I love it! It is so nice to be able to stitch up a journal for a friend or even use the technique for creating a mini album. You can find the YouTube video I learned from by clicking here.

As I said before, I used the Apple Cider collection from PLS for this journal. I adore this collection. The colors are just gorgeous and could not be better for this time of year. I threw in a few tabs from the Nature Walk collection, which is equally wonderful. Here's a shot of one of the dividers inside the journal:

I have also picked a random winner for the PLS giveaway. Drum roll please......

The winner is...... Chark! Yay! Please email me at sindij101702@gmail.com and we will talk about the details. Thanks everyone!

My Pretty Little Studio Debut :)

Today is my official introduction on the Pretty Little Studio blog! I am so excited to make my debut as part of this amazing team of ladies. Here's a link if you'd like to check it out: http://prettylittlestudio.com/plsblog/. We were asked to create a layout for our big debuts, and here is mine:
I mixed collections on this one, using a bit of the new Neapolitan collection and the Nature Walk collection. If you haven't worked with PLS products yet, you are missing out! The colors are gorgeous and collections mix so well. The new Neapolitan collection is especially gorgeous!

In honor of the design team introductions, PLS is giving away a different prize every day! I think I am last in line, so go back to the other posts and see if you can still enter to win!

I am also giving away a PLS goodie here! Leave me a comment for a chance to win a $5 gift certificate to Pretty Little Studio. I'll announce a winner on September 16th, so be sure to stop back by then! :)

Nature Stuff

Hello everyone! I have some layouts to share. The first one I completed for the Nature Challenge at private board I visit. I'm also linking up at Paper Issues for their Nature Walk issue. They are sponsored this week by Pretty Little Studio. Sidebar: Did I mention I made the design team there? lol. Soooooo excited about that! I start in September. :)  Hop on over and take a look. The Nature Walk collection from PLS is amazing. I cannot wait to get my hands on it! Anyway, here's my layout:

These photos were taken not too far from my front door. I am so blessed to live in such a beautiful piece of God's creation! This next layout is for a weaving challenge on the same private board I mentioned.  Although I'll confess I may get disqualified. lol. It's hard to tell but the strips on each side are actually two pieces of paper woven together. This one went a little haywire on me!
These are some shots of my goofy little guy. He immediately strikes  a pose as soon as he sees a camera. He's such a nutball! :) Thanks for stopping by!
